HK Lit (香港文學資料庫)

The University Library System is happy to announce that a new database of Hong Kong literary materials, the "HK Lit" (香港文學資料庫), is now available to users of U.G.C. institutions as from June 15, 2000.

"HK Lit" provides various search features for retrieving materials that are related to Hong Kong literature. Developed in stages, the database plans to cover materials of all languages available in library collections as well as articles collected from internet, newspaper literary columns and scholarly journals published in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. Materials that have been released in the first phase include:

Articles from valuable newspaper literary columns in 1930-40's and 1990's Literary journal articles extracted from the library's in-house database "HKInChiP" that covers articles from journals published in Hong Kong

The University Library System would like to specially thank Prof. Lo Wai-luen of the Department of Chinese Language & Literature, for her kind donation of the various indexes and newspaper cuttings as well as the valuable advice she gave in the course of database production.
